The night market wasn’t at its busiest this season, but it was still bustling with people. Before coming in, I promised Leng Yichen that I’d stay right by his side, and Bai Yiran did just that.
It was really because Leng Yichen’s hand was firmly holding hers, leaving her unable to let go or do anything else. She could only stay obediently by his side.

Leng Yichen looked at the BBQ stall, "No, street BBQs are unsanitary."

The two sat down, but since the little table and stools were really low, and Leng Yichen was all long arms and legs, he was quite uncomfortable crouching there. Leng Yichen looked at those fresh red skewers and asked coldly, "These are raw?"
"Mm." Bai Yiran quickly picked one up and popped it into her mouth in one bite.
"Beef?"
"Mm." She continued eating the second one.
When she reached for the third one, Leng Yichen successfully stopped her, "No more eating, be careful of parasites."
Upon hearing that, Bai Yiran immediately put up a sad face, "But you eat all kinds of fish sashimi, why can’t I eat beef sashimi now?"
